La Chapelle Saint-Luc (10) Old centre
La Chapelle Saint-Luc, a municipality located in the Trojan metropolis, is seeking to redefine and redevelop its city center.
This approach puts urban planning as close as possible to those who live it on a daily basis. It guides our thinking and our design. Citizens are at the center of an innovative participatory approach: participatory workshops such as a walking diagnosis, questionnaires, discussions and drawing workshops are organized to take into account the opinions of residents and understand the city through their eyes.
It is through a strong presence of vegetation in the heart of the city of La Chapelle-Saint-Luc that a new urban atmosphere can become a factor of appropriation.
The lack of character of the urban fabric in the center of the city has led to a new search for identity. This response by the vegetation allows to lead a new identity by subtraction of the artificial surfaces to the benefit of living ground surfaces.
The latter will support tree vegetation and ordinary biodiversity, it will infiltrate rainwater, it will recycle plant matter, it will reduce heat islands... The notion of a natural cycle can find a place in the city and support its residents on a daily basis. We already know the benefits.
