Witry-Lès-Reims (51) Expansion of the western fringe

Formulating the extension of the western fringe of the town must avoid all forms of brutal ruptures. However, the concepts of the sustainable city must accompany this urban extension. The built forms evolve gradually to fit into an increasingly wooded environment. The whole project is organized on a valley that marks the relief facing east. To mark the end of the future urbanization, a wooded strip comes to draw the end of this zone. Inside, successive roadways follow the contour lines to propose a succession of development phases.
