Saint-Martin-Sur-Le-Pré (51) Municipality Place
The town hall and the church offer compositional guidelines to organise this space according to a regular framework. The reduction of the width of the surrounding streets allows us to expand the space dedicated to this "courtyard-garden," highlighting the public buildings.
The wide walkways create courtyards, accompanied by low vegetation areas that never interrupt the depth of the visual field. The boundaries of this "courtyard-garden" are defined by a series of short pergolas that accompany a basin along the axis of the town hall gable.
The 13% increase in vegetation areas, the 20% increase in artificially paved areas that naturally infiltrate, and the 116% increase in biodiversity coefficient reflect a desire to integrate this project into a sustainable approach.
